2026 ACCP Webinar: Respect in Action: Addressing and Preventing Microaggressions - LIVE
Live Session: Wednesday, December 2nd, 2026, from 12:00 to 1:00 PM ET
Target audience:
Interprofessional team of clinical pharmacologists, physicians and healthcare providers, regulatory and pharmaceutical industry professionals at any stage of their careers who would gain knowledge in understanding the impact, consequences and tools to deal with microaggressions.
Description:
Microaggressions are subtle, often unintentional, comments or behaviors that convey prejudiced or dismissive messages toward individuals including researchers and clinical scientists. While they may seem minor or harmless to the person delivering them, they can have a significant cumulative impact on the recipient’s mental and emotional well-being.
The aim of this webinar is to get participants to recognize and understand the impact of microaggressions—subtle comments or behaviors that reinforce bias. Learners will be provided with practical tools for identifying microaggressions in real-time and strategies for interrupting them constructively. Attendees will leave with greater awareness of their own default roles and actionable strategies to foster personal agency, healthy boundaries, and supportive communication.
